Welcome to the TalentCollyde blog
A short note on what we'll write about here, and why.
This is the first post on the TalentCollyde blog.
We started this blog for one reason: most writing about recruiting is either generic LinkedIn fluff or thinly-veiled sales copy. Neither helps. We want to publish what we actually see day-to-day — what works, what doesn’t, and why hiring keeps tripping up the same growing companies in the same predictable ways.
What we’ll write about
- What’s broken in modern recruiting, from a founder’s seat
- Honest economics — what an internal recruiter actually costs, what a retained search costs, and when each makes sense
- LATAM hiring — what we’ve learned about sourcing, calibrating, and integrating remote teammates
- Founder-led notes on calls, candidates, and patterns we keep seeing
What we won’t do
- Generic listicles (“10 tips for hiring engineers”)
- Hype language about AI “transforming” recruiting
- Anything that reads like it was written by a marketing committee
If you’re a founder, leader, or HR-of-one trying to hire well without it consuming your week — this blog is for you.
